    Was it hard to take apart and adjust the sensitivity a little higher??

    • @DirtyShopDIY
      @DirtyShopDIY 4 дні тому

      No real simple. There are 2 small potentiometers one is for sensitivity and one for ground balance. I don't remember which is which.make sure to put a mark on it before you adjust. That way you can put it back

    I know this is an old video. I'm curious how you attach the synthetic cable to the spool. Is it the same attachment as the wire rope? How has this system held up ?

    You can get rain barrel fittings for your down spout. It has a screen in it to help keep leaves and junk out of your barrel

  • @StevenBanks123
    @StevenBanks123 3 місяці тому

    When you said you were going to insulate it all the way around I am so glad you didn’t. You left the radiating tubes clear and left lots of space for ventilation. Good… as long as there are no exchange coils in the sides.

  • @StevenBanks123
    @StevenBanks123 3 місяці тому

    “I’m not going to do any kind of test or anything.” Putting a meter on it would be instructive, whereas a thermometer would not (because the machine may just as cold inside but using more energy to do it.) That being said, the door is the safest place to add insulation because there are no coils in the door.

  • @user-sc9hj9xt3y
    @user-sc9hj9xt3y 3 місяці тому

    You should never compress insulation of any type, foam or fiberglass, because that reduces the R value. The insulating ability of materials comes from the air trapped inside so if you compress it you reduce the captured air.
